To Norm Pike
I've never dedicated any of my stories to anyone before but in this case it was really nessassary. A dear friend passed away this spring right before fitout. Norm Pike, senior Wheelsman on the Algolake, I don't remember how many years he sailed on her but I think it was 19..he will be greatly missed by the Captain, the crew and by me as well. Norm worked hard on the ship at his job and he was also in charge of raising the United Way money as well as numerous other things. He always had a great story to tell and a smile on his face. To you Norm, somehow I bet your still sailing somewhere........
